Satisfaction Guarantee

There can be a lot of pressure to get the right image on the day. I want you to be happy and will do everything I can to put you at ease and produce shots you’ll love, but if there’s nothing from the session you’re happy with, you can either book a second session at no extra cost, or I will refund your fee minus any un-recoverable expenses (eg. travel, studio hire etc.)

Where is the shoot?

I will agree that with you beforehand and this can either be at my home, at your home, workplace or college, on location or a hired studio.

I can set up my mobile studio in about an hour - I won't charge you extra for this but the time should be allowed for.

How much space is needed?

For headshots or head & shoulders portraits a minimum of 3 x 4 metres free of any furniture is fine. If the ceiling is less than about 2.5m you will need to be seated, which is often best anyway. I will bring a stool with adjustable height. For full length shots I’d suggest an absolute minimum of 4 x 6m, the more space the better really.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes! You are very welcome to bring someone along with you to the shoot, in fact it can be a great idea if you’re feeling nervous and can help you feel more relaxed and confident. Also, don’t forget my group offer in case your friend would also like some pictures.

If you are under 16 you should definitely be accompanied by a chaperone.

What should I bring to wear?

For a headshot session, bring a wide variety of tops with different necklines and think of items you may want to wear at an audition.

  • Plain dark colours with no bold patterns or stripes and not too fussy.

  • If you are wanting a particular look then do bring items those items too.

  • For full length portraits think about your bottom half and shoes.

  • If possible wear a vest for quick changes and possible outdoor photos.

  • For men, a shirt and a t-shirt is fine. Light blue or grey is better than white

How should I have my hair and make up?

For a headshot session, natural hair and minimal makeup is best, we’re looking to capture the real you - on a good day! For longer hair, think whether you would like it down, up or tied back and perhaps bring what you need to easily move between different options. If it is a commercial / private / modelling shoot then you might like to bring someone to do hair & makeup.

What happens on the shoot?

We’ll start by talking everything through, then once we’re clear on a plan we can get you in position, fine tune the lighting and start to shoot. The number of changes of clothes and hairstyles variations depends on the type of package you have booked but roughly this equates to 15 minutes per look which includes the time to change. This enables me to spend time getting the right image with you.

I can also work with available light in an indoor or outdoor environment, which would be agreed following discussion about what you're looking for. Photos are shot in colour which I can then convert to black and white if you would like that option.

What happens after the shoot?

After the shoot I will filter out any non-contenders - eyes shut, flash didn’t fire etc. - then upload all other shots to a private web gallery where you can mark your favourites.

You then choose which image/s you’d like me to retouch. Don’t worry, I’m happy to help you choose if you’re not sure!

Once the choice is made, I’ll retouch and ‘polish’ the chosen image/s before uploading final high resolution files to the gallery for you to download.

The number of high resolution images is based on the number in the package you have bought.

You can purchase extra images if you would like.

How do I book?

Simply click or tap here to send me an email, and I will get back to you with availability and/or to answer any questions you may have (your email will only be used to reply to this enquiry and will never be passed to any third party without your express permission). Let me know

  1. Which service/package you are interested in

  2. Your preferred dates, even if that’s ‘as soon as possible’! I prefer to book either morning, afternoon or evening sessions rather than exact time slots to ensure the shoot is not rushed.

Payment

I ask for a £20.00 deposit on booking and the remaining payment just before the session. I accept PayPal, bank transfer or cash on the day.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Get in touch as soon as possible and we might be able to rearrange.

If I have booked a studio for the shoot then this will need to be paid for or filled with another booking to avoid me incurring extra expenses.

If you are able to re-book another date the £20.00 deposit will be discounted off the amended booking.

If I have to cancel the session then I will be in contract to rearrange a new date and time or offer a refund on the deposit if no new time can be agreed.
